Beautiful Nainital: Pictures says it all

Nainital is located in Kumaon District and is a very popular tourist destination.
It is takes almost 8 hours by road to reach from Delhi via NH-9.

Although there are flights available till pant nagar from Delhi and from Pant nagar taxi can be hired.
If you want to travel by Train there is train available from New Delhi to Rudrapur City & taxi can be taken onwards.

Alternatively there are direct buses to Nainital from Delhi


Nainital Lake is one of the four lakes of Kumaon hills; the other three lakes are Sattal Lake,Bhimtal and Naukuchiyatal.
Nainital Is relatively cooler place to visit. It is little warm although pleasant during April to September.
Best time to visit is from Jan till March.
There are numerous tourist spots including Nainital Lake,Gurudara, Naina Devi temple,Cave Garden,Mall Road,Tibetan Market and so on.

You can hire the boat which will take you for 1 hour lake tour for less than 250 Indian rupees.

Nainital Zoo -It is a high altitude zoo situated on Sher ka Danda hills.
Quite a lot of animals.
